Memorial Day Fellowship Meeting: May 26 - May 29, 2005 PDF Print E-mail

We had sweet fellowship with the saints who gathered together in the name of Lord. There were many encouraging words in each message, each testimony, and each prayer that was delivered. God answered prayer by sending conviction so a lost soul was restored to His fold and His Spirit was in every service.
Matthew 18:20 ...where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Psalms 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

From the sermons:

  • 5/26/05, Sister Diana Licon- Certainties
Ecclesiastes 12:14 "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
Romans 2:10 "But glory, honour, and peace to every man that worketh good..."

  • 5/27/05, Sister Edith Tolbert- Warning Signs
Galatians 6:7,8 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
II Thessalonians 2:9-12 "...the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders...in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
  • 5/28/05 AM, Brother Dave Goble- Where Will You Pitch Your Tent?
Genesis 13:1-9 When there was strife between the herdmen of Abraham and those of Lot, Abraham gave Lot the choice of where to dwell. Lot chose to pitch his tent toward the evil city of Sodom. After he was separated from Lot, God promised to bless Abraham with Canaan land. Lot died without receiving a blessing and his wife was turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back to Sodom. Abraham received God's promise, as all who follow his example.
  • 5/28/05 PM, Brother Richard Lehman-All The Right Things But For The Wrong Reason
Revelations 2:1-5 "Unto the angel of the church...These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove they candlestick out of his place except thou repent."

  • 5/29/05 AM, Brother Karl Wilson- Who Are Those Who Are Truly Worshipping
Acts 22:4-14, Acts 24:10-16 Some accused Paul of heresy but he told them. "But I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets...And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.
  • 5/29/05 PM, Brother Danny Sanders- Will You Rebuke The Presence of Doubt?
Mark 9:14-27 "...one of the multitude...said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit: and wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out. and they could not. He answered him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him to me...Jesus saith unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth...And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief...Jesus...rebuked the foul spirit...
