Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? (Luke 12:6) These little tiny sparrows are so small. We see them everyday flying in the sky or perched on a tree limb. To us they are common creatures and for the most part we take them for granted. We don’t even consider whether or not they have food, or if they are cold, we just look at them and pass on by. But the Bible tells us that not one of them is forgotten by God. Imagine that!

God is looking out for them. He is the one feeding them. He see’s when they have their babies, when they are nesting, or even when one dies. People, for the most part, don’t even consider that, but God does. God is seeing it all, even caring for and about them. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Luke 12:7) I don’t even know how many hairs I have- but God does. Does he care? Obviously He does. He cares and loves us more than we could ever know. He takes such love, care and time to even consider the sparrows and He says that we are of more value than they are. In our little tiny minds, our everyday trials and cares, in our busy schedules it is so much for us to take that in. Thank God for the Bible that wants to remind us of how much he does love and cares for us.
