Respecting the Ministry and building our Temple
We studied this week about the Awesome responsibility the ministry has. The decisions, the council, the watching that must be done in order to protect Gods flock from the enemy. It is only through the wisdom of Almighty God that the ministry can see clearly and judge rightly. (1st Kings 3: 1-14) Gods ministry must preach the truth to Gods people regardless of popular opinion and must not be selective to what is preached based upon what people think.
Today, God dwells in temples not made with hand. The temple that Solomon built was a shadow or type of where God dwells today. As that temple was made with hands, but today God dwells in a temple not made with hands. 1st Kings 8:13 shows us that Solomon had a desire for God to dwell in the temple that he shall build forever. This needs to be our desire today; to have a clean heart, built for God to dwell in forever. A heart forever settled with God. Unmovable, constantly dedicated to the service of the Lord. Never compromised to worship other Gods and never neglected when it comes to the service of God. Can God look down today and say “My name is there” regarding our temple. If we keep a constant respect towards God and towards his Ministry, God will be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our Path. For he has said he will never leave us nor forsake us.
