13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14  That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
15  And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
16  Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17  And then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
18  Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19  And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20  And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21  That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

Moses delivered the above passage instructing God’s people to love and obey Him.  If you listen diligently, with obedience, then God will bless with His benefits.  Verse 13, …”if ye shall hearken diligently” .. the “if” means it’s contingent on being carefully obedient, full time. The pattern from the beginning of time, was established, that obedience brings the good things of God.  A similar example of how this works, is found in nature. When good soil is well prepared, and has a seed planted, it is contingent also on the rain, and sunshine to keep up the pattern that brings forth “fruit.”  This is a sign of life. But if you withdraw those elements, …the plant withers, or is dormant.

Likewise, our soul’s nutrition comes from loving, and obeying God with our whole heart, soul, strength, and mind, ..full time.  This is the pattern, of spiritual nourishment, that God has set forth. It doesn’t depend only on your own actions, but is coupled with God’s mercy when we are obedient.  Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30).  Serving with “your everything.”  To maintain, God instructs us to lay up His Word in our hearts (Deuteronomy 11:18) in order to keep His Word in remembrance. God wants our hearts or will, to be “broken” (or kept tender towards him), and  kept in submission to His Will.  The world is a “sin hard” place that trashes purity out of the souls of men, women, boys, and girls.  Even at a young age many are fully stained by sin.  But when God finds us on the trash heap of sin, He pulls us right off, …when we obey Him. The soul sickness will be made well, if repentance, and full obedience follows.  It must be done through a full time faith.

Part time faith will not work.  God doesn’t call those that would only serve Him part time. If only partial obedience, everything ceases in that life to develop full faith. Part time attention to God, is in essence being divided in your heart, towards Him. You are either going to be all for, or all against,  godliness.  It’s all about your chosen service ..spiritually.  (“….Choose you this day, whom you will serve”…..”but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  Joshua 24:15).  Full time faith in God, brings full time benefits in Him.  “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.Romans 8:2  The benefits are freedom from sin.

We are all following the Spirit of life, or of sin and death.  Faith must be full time.  Examine yourself whether your love and obedience to Jesus is full time.
