1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2  With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

We are required to know one another, to “try the spirits whether they are of God”  (1 John 4:1).  We can’t do this “with our head in the sand.”   “Babylon” The Pretender and “Mother of Harlots” will never take this scriptural message, (above), for themselves. She hates the convicting Spirit of God.  This message is meant for God’s children, the saints.  The messages of God aren’t only that He is good, but also that He is one of judgement.  Each of us needs to ask God to search out our hearts to see where we are before God.  The Church needs “to see the Church.”  The 18th chapter of Revelations is still talking about the harlot “Babylon” (which means “confusion”). It tells how she pretends to be a “queen” glorifying herself, sitting on her throne living “deliciously” (for the flesh) without conviction for her ways of spiritual destruction.  It tells in this chapter, how judgement “in one hour” will destroy and bring her down, (Revelations 18:19).

All that live after the glory of the flesh, while pretending to be reigning with God, shall be destroyed. All that rejoiced in Babylon, that spiritual harlot, will lament and wail her “falling.”  For she as a spiritual pretender, has snared many souls away from the convicting of The Holy Spirit which examines the condition of hearts, to help one see their needs.  Babylon, instead, encourages one to “feel good” although still in their sins. Many religious today live according to an emotional worship, that isn’t backed up by a sin free life. Faithfully God has commanded us instead to live holy. “Because it is written, Be ye holy, as I am holy.1 Peter 1:16.  We cannot assume we are right before God, without a thorough heart examination.

Only the convicting Spirit of God can help us measure to all of God’s Word.  “The pretender to the throne'” (Babylon, -mere religion) brings with it no true judgement against sin and self, because it claims that we cannot live without some sin. The Pretender’s worship is based in a mere emotional worship. It allows one to not be holy. All that are redeemed, are so because of Christ’s blood. The Pretender, (or mere and emotional religion), can never claim the victory over sin. Therefore Babylon’s claim to God’s throne, is patently false.  She as the Pretender because of her sins,  has no legitimate claim.

Ye shall know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:16We need to know who the legitimate Bride of Christ is, and who Babylon The Pretender is, to needfully experience the convicting Spirit of God.  To measure up through Jesus, and legitimately be The Bride of Christ!
