TEXT: HEBREWS 12:22-24
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Salvation, and serving God, is so much more real than any earthly pleasure, or treasure life brings. The “activities” of life without Christ, are meaningless, and absurd. The reality of Salvation can only come, when we really love God! It is experiencing God’s love, that defines a love affair with Him. If one finds themselves “empty” and/or ” not whole,” …the answer is to turn to Christ, to fill their “cup.” All of heaven, demands a Christ, a Savior. Heaven exists…because of the existence of Jesus! If there were no Christ, there would be no heaven …the center of all creation! He is the reason …that Heaven is. Therefore all good from heaven only came because of Him. Many think they are going to heaven, regardless of the sin in their life. But there is a hell for all who remain in their sins. There would be no heaven, if there weren’t also a hell, and vice versa.
God did not create the Word, for God IS the Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) So without a Christ, there is no heaven. And all that is heaven, ..is Christ. No heaven, ..no Christ. To go to Heaven, you must “do business” with Him. Real life doesn’t revolve around, or thrive on self, but rather the opposite. All have problems, that can only be resolved through Christ the center of all heaven. For a sinner to gain heaven, they must first change their direction, choosing God, to make them holy and perfectly whole. Hope centered in Christ will involve patience, and faith to bring the reward of Heaven. If Christ is not your focus, hope, or center, …you won’t have a heaven to gain!
Heaven demands a Christ!
