1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

“Let go,” spiritually can be related to forgiveness.  And forgiveness is not only forgiving somebody; for a “cousin” of forgiveness is …letting go.   Forgiving yourself of self inflicted issues might be a problem to you, …for whatever the reason.   “Letting go” or forgiveness, is needed to have the relief you might need in God.  Sometimes getting along with others, and them with us, can be a weight, …but God can help us.  Verse 1Let us lay aside,” (then it is possible if God ask it of us.)  Lay aside the weights that would hinder you serving God in running this race,  there are many oppositions to hinder your salvation. You can’t run it without laying aside all weights.

The weights to be considered should only be of your own, not the business of somebody else. Right is right, and wrong is still wrong.  I’m only responsible for my own opinions and attitudes.  Jesus is your defense; you need not become involved.  Jesus then can take care of it, in His time ..if you let go.  Otherwise without laying aside those weights, it can cause all concerned stress and strife, even though daily you might be praying about it. It still necessary to release or let go so God can handle it.

Sometimes we might not do a good job of laying aside weights.  Ask God to help you understand how.  Otherwise you won’t be as effective as God would have you to be. God considers the weights of our mind as much as the physical afflictions needing to be healed.  We must not be afraid to talk about it, and then let go of anything which causes stress and anxiety. ” 2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;..” consider this to “let all go to Him. In prayer ask God for help  …so you can.

Jesus has healing for our mind so we can run and win this race. For His grace is sufficient!

Release, ..let go!
