TEXT: GENESIS 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
ISAIAH 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
God is a faithful Judge! This text refers to His judgments for the nations. Here “the nations” symbolize all those being judged while living outside “the kingdom and grace of God.” Those living on the inside are those who live by the leading edge of faith. God’s judgments are to determine, by Him, what is right, and what is wrong. Not to be just religious, but be made accountable to His Word. Merely religious people, never want to be wrong. But there is no “gray area” with serving God, or in His judgments.
God’s judgments are not arbitrary. Only the facts affect where the judgment will go. God’s judgments are based on the “inside.” If a gray area were allowed to expand while attempting to serve God, one would soon be without His judgements, banished to the outside of His grace, …and left to destruction. All those living in error, (or those not measured to God’s word), …are banished to the outside. It is God’s judgements that make possible the transition from being on the outside of His kingdom, to the inside! It is God’s judgements that also makes possible for one to stay on the inside, and not stray back to the ways of the nations, which is the world of sin. One needs to be willing to be wrong (humble) to be judged worthy to live on the inside of God’s kingdom of grace. To be judged otherwise, reveals the nature and choice to live in the nation of sin.
The judgements of God will make you pure, and keep you inside His kingdom!
