TEXT:EPHESIANS 3:1,7,8

1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Christ’s riches are the answer to all our needs and problems.  What do you have?  If your riches are centered in God, you will be encouraged, even when going through your hardest trial.  For it is the hardest trials that are a trigger that will activate true riches of Christ in our life, if they are there.  If they are not there, this needs to be of a concern.   If we are honest with our self, we’ll be able to determine what we really have.   If we esteem God more than the riches of this world, and our very life, we’ll be encouraged!    If instead we esteem our way and earthly riches, we will be discouraged when the hard trials of life come. Only when we possess the riches of Christ can we be truly encouraged.

Hebrews 11: 24-26   24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Moses esteemed the reproaches of Christ more than the physical royalty he was bred to.  For he had respect more for the riches of Christ, then for the riches of this world.  Never give up the treasures of Christ, for the payoff is eternal life with Him!  The harder the trials “clamp down” on the saints, the harder they clamp down on their riches, …freedom from sin!  If you don’t clamp down on Christ, you lose your joy, peace, and spiritual strength.  God has said His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).  You’ll know if you have the unsearchable riches of Christ if you have His strength in your hardest trials.  Only His riches truly satisfy the soul.  The riches of this world and self are nothing more than vanity.

Where are your riches?  In Christ, or the vanity of this world?   Only the true riches of Christ will strengthen you in your hardest trial!
