TEXT:ROMANS 1:1-7 , 16:22

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

16:22  I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.

The plan of God makes sinners into saints.  And saints are saved to no longer having to sin.  Can you call to remembrance when you were called to have a close attachment to Christ?  Are you still close to Him?  If you in full obedience draw close to Him, you will be kept in His holiness.  This is the natural order God has ordained in His Will.  The wrath of God is a natural consequence against those, …living against the natural order of God.   “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” Romans 1:18  It is when mankind is aware of God’s will, but instead are unthankful and hold their confidence in their own unholy wisdom, that the wrath of God is stirred up.  This age is full of the spirit, that is against the natural order of God.

Living close to God is what establishes our faith. The way people today protest whatever they don’t like, displays their lack of faith, unthankful, and disobedient spirit.  It takes a close and strong faith to resist those ways and spirits of the world.   Staying ever closer to God is what creates a stronger faith.  If your hope is caught up in the worldly activities, you are going to become discouraged.   Satan wants you to slip further and further away from Jesus.  Your solution is to draw ever closer to Christ, protecting your soul from the vanities of this dark world of sin.  Your answer is to also assemble yourself often with others that also love God. There is strength in those numbers worshiping together. If you lose your focus on God, you will become like everyone else that lives outside of His holiness.

Self interest, will lead to self destruction.  Having a mere knowledge of good and evil, but without His Spirit is dangerous. It is a knowledge that will cause you to fall.   We can’t assume because we go to church, and follow a set of rules, that we are a child of God.  Knowing how to behave, talk and dress, is not what will keep us close to Jesus.  Keeping Jesus first, close, and above all in our heart will.   This is the way to win other souls to Christ.   If we don’t remain close to Him, we will our self slip away from Jesus.

How close is your attachment to Christ?
