TEXT: JOHN 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
1 JOHN 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
It is necessary to consecrate our life, to bring a complete change; a change in our thoughts, goals, and “treasures.” The old life needs to be buried, and a new life resurrected. For God is faithful to forgive and save us from death, to be born to the precious inheritance of eternal life. But first you must open and “make deposits” in a spiritual account, to avoid becoming spiritually weary. To be qualified, you must bring fruits of repentance, forsaking all sin to be converted. Without doing this, you won’t reap the benefits, nor have protection from evil. Colossians 4:12 To be perfect and complete in God’s Will, was the prayer of the Apostle Paul.
You must exercise carefulness so your life doesn’t become a pattern of satisfaction in the temporal things of this life. For too often our efforts can be defeating to our need to grow patience. We must manage our life by being content. True conversion doesn’t mean from the act of baptism, church membership, good deeds, etc. Conversion requires a compete change or a metamorphosis. Just as a caterpillar morphs into a beautiful butterfly, so also does a life of sin, when converted, morphs into a redemption of holy living. Colossians 3:1-10; It is when we set our affections on things above, in Christ, that we can embrace a change to heavenly things, and not earthiness. We then will mortify things and actions of a carnal life, that which is of self and sin. John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. None of our desires and efforts can change without conversion and abiding in the vine Jesus Christ.
A Complete Change is Necessary…..
