TEXT: PSALMS 93:1-2
1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
We are all wearing something, and it matters because it will affect where we are going. Life is not always as hard as we might think. So many have it much harder then us. Sometimes we are struggling and it seems others are are stronger and more successful, but God will help us if we allow Him to clothe us with His strength. “the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself,” God is clothed with something, and so are we. Whether or not we take it, God still delivers…He still reigns! He is established of old, and is everlasting! Not clothed with doubt, superstition, fretting, or etc. But the earth is established and cannot be moved! Established of old, and everlasting! He is clothed in majesty and a strength that cannot be moved. And God wants to clothe us this way also! “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 1 Peter 5:5 It is humility that gives us the grace of spiritual strength. For it is only with humility that our strength can come from God. “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of the nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve that thou mayest see.” Revelations 3:18 To be clothed in God’s righteousness means we will not judge our brother, but instead be sure we do not hinder them. Romans 14:13
God has clothed His people! What am I wearing? I hope I’m still wearing what I’m supposed to be wearing! “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10 If we could see one another’s spirit, what would we see? God’s glory? God wants us clothed in His glory. Satan wants to strip us from God’s glory in our life. As time goes on, we are all exposed to God’s message so we can be clear and understand where we are. Satan wants to strip us of our faith, to make our hearts vulnerable and filled with shame. The enemy wants us to be satisfied of when God first saved us, and not seeing the need to stay clothed with the garment of Salvation and righteousness. We all had that time in our life, that we knew we were doing wrong things, and were naked in that shame. You don’t want God to be near and see you like that. Instead we want the world to see and know we are clothed in God’s righteousness! The world might make us feel we are in need of something different. But the Spirit of God can help us not to change out of the eternal garment of Salvation and praise. Don’t take off what God has put on you. Don’t be clothed with your judgement, but instead humility, gentleness, and goodwill.
What Are You Wearing?
