TEXT: JOHN 12:20-36
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
This he said, signifying what death he should die.
The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
“Sir, we would see Jesus”….certain Greeks that came to worship at the feast, desired to see Jesus. Jesus answered them saying “The hour is come.” There is an hour, and time when events present themselves, for “that” time, …more than any other time given. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (Verse 1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:) When that time comes, it is time to walk in “that” light. You need to take hold on that light, or you will not still see it. The Hour is Come. Salvation, Awakening, Deliverance, …these hours are opportunities! God has a time for each of us to be more fully aware of our need. 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Mark 1 Just as there is a particular time to plant a literal harvest, so there is also for a spiritual one. 1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6th chapter.
What time is it for you? Wherever you are, is this your hour, for whatever your need is? In the broad sense, the gospel is the accepted time. But within that, there is an accepted time for our individual times of need. Searching for that need, will bring us to a time that God will reach us. God knows the time for each of us individually. An accepted time, and, an approved time. God will minister to your heart, and bring you to Salvation. “25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. 26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27 And have given him authority to execute judgement also, because he is the Son of man. 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are int the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5 Are you spiritually dead …in your sins? Do you hear Christ? In reality through the scriptures you do, but do you hear Him speaking to your heart? What are you hearing Christ speak to you heart with understanding? When that hour comes, you can seize it, and act upon it!
The Hour Is Come!
