TEXT: JOHN 3:14-16

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

JOHN 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

It doesn’t say just a “few,” but God LOVED the whole WORLD.  Because God’s love is so great, and the world was in desperate need of restoration, God manifested Himself in the form of His Son Jesus!   God gave His Son Jesus, as the ultimate sacrifice!  May God help us to comprehend the magnitude of His great love!  A love more real, than any religion would try to project.  “That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another,”  This is the sum of God’s valentine to us, and what He requires from us …to Him.  “Love one another.”   God’s Word is a very long love letter to us all, young, and old, a perpetual forever meaningful Valentine!    It is a much greater valentine than we could ever give to the most special one to us, on this earth.   God ask us to be His Valentine!!   He ask us in such a meaningful way!  This in turn gives us the opportunity to accept it, to then truly become His child.

“Thou shalt love the Lord they God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. “ Luke 10:27    And love “thy neighbor as thyself.”  As Jesus has loved us, God wants us to love our neighbor, …just as we love our very own life.  That’s part of our valentine to Him.   This is how we are defined as being a disciple to Christ, if we have love one for another.  “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35   Otherwise, what hope does the world have, if we can’t show we have love one to another?  If the world doesn’t see God’s love in us, heaven help them!

Romans 8:35″Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Romans 8:38,39  38 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, not things to come.  39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  We are preserved by God’s great attachment of love for us.  But then only if we don’t reject Him.   Why would anyone turn back  to sin, or away from God’s valentine commitment to us?  The only remedy for our sin, was for the the sacrifice of Jesus, His death on the cross for the committed sins of the whole world.   Christ’s Valentine for us all.

The Greatest Valentine Ever Given….
