Sunday Morning Podcast May 5, 2019. Bro. Dave Goble.

The person anointed to preach God’s message, must also be first measured, to bring it with conviction.  And only with conviction, for the Word will cause our heart to be a changed one, to “throb” with a need to be convicted for it.  In other words, the messenger must first be convicted of what the Lord has told ‘them,’ and have not merely pulled from outside of their personal experience.  It is the Holy Spirit that must be the One who convicts in each message delivered. The logic of our mind must not be a hindrance.  For God brings to us that which is outside the “dots” of our logical mind.  It is a very “sensory” way.   Some learn very well in this way, for it is not an improper way, but it must first be led by the Spirit of God.  It might not at first make sense if not first anointed by the Holy Spirit. Whatever our human preference or ability, at the end without the Holy Spirit, it will end up an incorrect message intended from God.  There are different ways to understand this Truth. Ultimately it will be through much prayer, that the Holy Spirit will interpret what God intends for us to embrace, regardless the potential uniqueness of the messenger.  An anointed message will be truthful, holy, bringing us to the end goal of the Alpha and Omega.   But you must “allow” the Holy Spirit to interpret it to you.

TEXT: REVELATIONS 1:1-3

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Abandon the follies of human wisdom, to be in the presence of God.  A garden experience.  You’ll have to let go of some things, like pride, sin, etc, so God will honor you.   Revelation means “uncovering.”  A prophecy of truth.  Why would God make a need for a “covering” to be revealed, of something that is hidden?   “Why do you speak in parables?,”  Jesus was asked.  Jesus explained that the Word of God is given in a way that the enemies of the gospel will not be able to easily profane it.  “Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6   If you truly hunger and thirst after righteousness, you will pray and study the Word diligently, and God will satisfy you!  He will be a fountain of living water to quench your soul!  To them the mysteries will be revealed.   To only those that will read and “hear” the words of His prophecies.  To those that actually keep what He has given.  To those not found here,  His word will remain hidden, even to those who “claim” to be holy.  To those that it is hidden, they will not hunger and thirst for it.  It is here that the merely religious find themselves.  They may claim to have a ‘leg up,” but they merely take for granted the truth.  To have a “garden experience” is to have an awesome hunger after God!  If you don’t, it is because you have been feeding on something else in your everyday world.   God is still worthy!!  Not to be profaned!!   His holiness is to be kept, worshiped, and not shared with anything else!   We need our spirit  “tuned'” to the melody of God!   The world will not feed and nourish your soul!  It will take a holy experience to have God give you a “revelation” of how only He can convict you of your undone condition with sin, and your need to let go of anything that would keep you away from a full hunger and thirst for His righteousness.   You must examine to see the vanity of the world, to be able to choose to thirst and hunger after God’s holiness instead.  Then you won’t be satisfied with the mere vanity of this world.  Anything else will only attempt to give you an excuse that will rob your soul.

This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.   “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”  Revelations 1:8    God covers the past, present, and the future.  This is why He is Worthy!  His blood was shed for all. He makes us to be kings and priests unto God for ever and ever.  (Revelations 1:4-6)   Every eye shall see, when He cometh in the clouds, including those who pierced Him, and they will wail because of Him.  (Revelations 1:7 )   Many visions of heaven are described in the 4th and 5th chapters of Revelations 12 “Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”  Revelations 5.
