TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS. 6:14-18

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

This passage is speaking about idol worship in the temple. In this congregation, there were many diverse opinions and ideas about worship, including some who perhaps had come out from having worshiped many gods. So they had brought practices with them, which Paul had to teach them were not according to the will of God.  We will find in the New Testament some comparisons.  But first we will go to Exodus 6. 2- 8.// 6:Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens, of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: 7: And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. Exodus 6:6,7   These thoughts of God’s covenant to His people, are of course reflected in many places throughout His Word.  Romans 8:31 b  “If God be for us, who can be against us?  Can you see this idea also represented in 2 Corinthians and Exodus, in the promise He gave Moses, in bringing them to the land of Canaan, and to deliver from the bondage of Egypt?  Do we really understand that?  We serve today, the same God that is mentioned here!  The same promise God gave Moses, He gives today to His people…His covenant. If you are His, you can put your name here in this promise.  God will save us, protect us, and deliver us from the bondage of sin.  The same promise God gave before to His people in the Old Testament, He has renewed day by day, and year by year, even up to today….His Covenant.   Do we believe that this morning in our everyday life?  Or what is it, that opposes you?  Are you putting yourself in this passage?   If you’re a child of God, you have a right to,  just like He spoke even to Moses!

God sometimes wants us to get to a place, that no one else can deliver us from….so He can get the glory!  All the way out.  Because no one but God can save us from that moment!  But we can never be a part of this story, unless we only let God get the glory!  It won’t happen unless God performs the miracle…if and when we let Him.  If we stay on the side of Egypt (or in sin), we are not all the way out.  For it is only when we are all the way out, that the glory of God’s miracles can happen!   On Egypt’s side (sin), there is a revolving door.  You must get out…if you are willing to get ..all the way out, …to be freed from your sins!   On Egypt’s life’s side of “the water” is death!  The other side of life’s waters, is life!   Exodus 14:9,13  9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, besides Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.  13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.   The Salvation of the Lord, is life!  Salvation from sin is life, and not being all the way out, is death!   The wages of sin, is a hard taskmaster!   We are to come out of anything that is unlike God!   So we are not just saying, “I serve Him.”   But our identity must be as full servants to Him!   How to make Heaven our home, is to live holy, and also to take as many with us that we can!   The enemy will confront you to see …”why are you willing to be in intense temptations and tribulations?”  He wants you to doubt God!

You need to see yourself, as coming all the way out, from that which leads to death.   We are threatened by the enemy of having a frame of mind, of being of only in a dire existence!   And if so, “what’s the point.?”   Made to feel like, why not get it over with?  (The spirit of discouragement).  For before we can see ourselves all the way out, ..life is meaningless!   But we have to see ourselves ‘ALL the way out, to be transferred from darkness to light!   Otherwise life is meaningless.   You have to see that to have a miraculous Salvation!  We are called to serve God.  People call this a myth (those of the world).  God has a people on earth called to serve Him.  What’s the point?  God has called us to serve Love.  GOD is love!  We serve compassion, mercy. kindness, longsuffering, and everything Jesus taught.  This is real, and what the world needs!  This is what we do when we serve God.  When we are all the way out!

Are We All The Way Out?
