Psalms 61:2 Overwhelmed - Flooded. Anxious. Stressed out. Worn out. Buried. Drowning. The Rock is higher than me or my circumstances. My perspective changes when I am higher; overwhelming things are much smaller.

Acts 2:46,47 God added to the church.

  • What is it?
  • Who is in it?
  • How is one added in?
  • Why is it so special?

The church isn’t a place. It’s composed of people added by God. When God adds he removes sin. Assembling with a human organization does not indicate membership of the body of Christ. What is imporant is to obey the will of God and to be submitted. This involves repentance.

Acts 20:28 The Church of God was purchased.

1 Corinthians 6:20

Be careful how you speak of fellow Christians. Proving others wrong doesn’t make me right.

Ephesians 5:25,26,27 The church is meant to be without blemish. This isn’t a future state; it’s the present. The blood cleanses. It’s not just a cover for sin.

Colossians 1:22,23,24

1 John 1:7,8,9 I walk in the light that God gives me. Not on the edge, but in the bright center of light.

If my will is strong, it will be hard to submit to and serve God. Submission follows repentance.

Mark 1:15 There is repentance to get into the church.

Exodus 19:5 Obey His voice and keep His covenant.

Titus 2:14 God's church is special.

Hebrews 10:4 The new sacrifice is better than the old. It cleanses.
