Matthew 18:20

Fill ‘er Up!

Luke 24:46,47,48,49 “Don’t leave Jerusalem until you have power to do what you need to do.”

Acts 1:1,2,3,4,5

John 20:19,20,21,22,23 What do others feel when I walk into the room? Jesus had a mission and a message.

My mandate and mission is to go out and tell others what God has done for me.

The Holy Spirit will not occupy a sinful vessel. The disciples were without sin, but needed power to go out.

“Breath” is the same as the word “spirit.” Adam was in the image of God when He breathed on them. When Jesus behaved as God, they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Do I have this experience? I am called to do the same.

We need power to move forward. In the old days, at a service station,“Fill 'er up” meant put as much in the tank as it will hold, make sure the tires are in good shape, the windshield is clear, and fluids are full.

The Holy Spirit is the fuel for my life vehicle.

My jalopy (sinful life), headed for destruction, needs to be exchanged for a new vehicle built to take me on journey.

Numbers 22:22-34 Sometimes an angel must be in the way to bring me to an abrupt stop. Am I paying attention to the resistance of the “donkey?” Is God trying to talk to me and change my direction?

Once I have a new vehicle, I need fuel. It comes with enough to drive short distances. But Jesus said don’t go on long road trips until you are filled with fuel.

Am I just taking short spiritual trips? Have I ever taken a long spiritual road trip? This requires fuel from the Holy Ghost. A long spiritual road trip is not about distances. It’s about others, not just myself.

Acts 1:4

Acts 2:2

Do I want to see someone's life change? Am I willing to take a spiritual road trip?

If the Holy Ghost sends me on a road trip, there will be evidence I can show others.
