We enjoyed three special services hosted by our youth group! The goal of these special services was for the congregation to get to know our youth and for the youth to receive advice and knowledge from the congregation.

Friday: Avery, Aubrey, and Peyton were answering questions asked by Bro Aaron about what it’s like to be a middle schooler in 2024. A group of high schoolers also answered questions asked by Bro. Aaron, such as how they deal with peer pressure, what motivates them and brings them enjoyment, and how social media effects their daily life and self esteem. Stefan played a song on the guitar. Cyrus and Lizzy led the songs and Lizzy chaired. It was a very enjoyable night for everyone.

Saturday: On Saturday, four adults of many ages answered a few questions formed by the middle and high schoolers, along with the young adults, such as why they decided to be a Christian, how they found their careers, and what their best and worst memories of church were. The middle school class sang a song. After that, all the rest of the young people came up to sing BST songs with the younger kids. Everyone enjoyed listening to the adult’s perspectives.

Sunday: On Sunday, the young people’s choir sang two songs. Bro. Kelly brought a lesson on generations. He defined each generation and explained what they were known for, and how even though we all grew up in different eras, we can still be connected by our goal of living for God. After the lesson, we had a picnic in the back where we played games and volleyball. It was a great day!

Portions of the summary above were written by Avery Coleman, a member of our middle school youth class.
