Bro Richard: Lessons For Missionaries

What are we yet learning today? You don’t have to go overseas to bring God to others. You can start in your own back yard. Sacramento is a melting pot of enormous diversity that needs salvation. There are those in our own neighborhoods that have never heard the gospel. A successful missionary will come face to face with satin. Acts 8:3-4 Persecution is what sent the first missionaries into all the world. You can bring the gospel to those in other places but you can also bring the gospel to those “from” other places right here in Sacramento. If satin can’t beat God and the Godly through severe persecution, he will send his false ministers. To those that are deceived, there is no one to warn them of these false prophets. This is why the truth that we have is so important. In China, the church is growing tremendously but is being corrupted by western sectism. It is on the front lines where persecution is worst against Christianity that the church remains pure to God’s will. When we deal with those from the worst areas of persecution such as Iran, North Korea, Libya, Pakistan, Kenya, Nigeria, etc., Therefore, it’s important to bring them the whole truth and light of the Bible. Some of those you deal with will go back to their countries and will need all the armor they can get. Some saints here are preaching the gospel truth through electronic means to those outside the U.S. but persecution remains the biggest catalyst to the growing purity of the church, Mat 5:10-12. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. The next time you are persecuted for your stand, remember these words from Jesus. When you bring the word to others, you will be opposed by satin, so be encouraged through the grace of God.
