Why do we celebrate the birth of Jesus?

Genesis 6:5,6,7,8 This verse explains God’s reasons and intention. The flood didn’t erase all evil on earth. Evil didn’t have a remedy until the birth of Jesus. It was an eternal remedy that didn’t need to be renewed yearly.

The Word became flesh.

Matthew 1:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17

Luke 3:23,24,25,26,27,28,28,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38

These two genealogies are slightly different, but both highlight a human lineage that traces back to God. Christmas isn't just another religious festival; it celebrates Jesus appearing as the incarnation of God.

John 1:14 There are people in every time (Gnostics) that aren't convinced Jesus was a real person. The Gospels and contemporary scholars agree it’s a historical fact.

1 Timothy 6:15 The king of all the kings is even above Caesar Augustus or the sitting president. There was the Messiah of the messiahs (annointed kings).

Jesus delivers us.

Galatians 1:4 This is not temporary or just improved. Living in sin isn’t deliverance.

Jesus is the primary symbol for Christmas.
