Why do we celebrate the birth of Jesus?
Genesis 6:5,6,7,8 This verse explains God’s reasons and intention. The flood didn’t erase all evil on earth. Evil didn’t have a remedy until the birth of Jesus. It was an eternal remedy that didn’t need to be renewed yearly.
The Word became flesh.
These two genealogies are slightly different, but both highlight a human lineage that traces back to God. Christmas isn't just another religious festival; it celebrates Jesus appearing as the incarnation of God.
John 1:14 There are people in every time (Gnostics) that aren't convinced Jesus was a real person. The Gospels and contemporary scholars agree it’s a historical fact.
1 Timothy 6:15 The king of all the kings is even above Caesar Augustus or the sitting president. There was the Messiah of the messiahs (annointed kings).
Jesus delivers us.
Galatians 1:4 This is not temporary or just improved. Living in sin isn’t deliverance.
