1 Corinthians 15:58 Set apart and prepared; steadfastness is needed.
Ephesians 4:14 Being tossed in the waves isn’t a usable position.
Hebrews 11:6 Some service is thankless. My joy has to be rooted in Christ. I have to be sure that God will give the reward, not others.
Ephesians 6:5,6,7 When I do things that God is directing, what is my attitude toward what others think of me or say to me? Do I feel I should have compensation for what I am doing?
2 Kings 5:20,25 Gahazi thought a reward was a reasonable expectation. My feelings have to be submitted to God and I must continue to be steadfast.
John 8:41 I know means I am a religious person, not that that I am humbly asking God for direction.
1 Corinthians 9:19,20,21,22,23 God may want a different way than my experience or knowledge would choose. Paul knew the Jews, but he still asked God how to interact with them. This attitude keeps me from creating walls.
1 Samuel 30:8 Am I asking God for how I should serve? Or do I assume I know how?
Even if it’s the exact same situation I have been in before, am I asking for God’s lesson plan?
How am I talking to others? It’s not what I know; it’s how I am directed by God.
Micah 6:8 Walking humbly means I ask and am willing to do what He instructs me to do. Am I willing to try something different even if I am experienced and think I know.
