Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord is gladness of heart from knowing God, abiding in Christ, and being filled with His Holy Spirit. What am I building on? Am I a cheerful giver?
Faith Solves Problems
There are problems that reason or human intervention cannot not solve. Strong, not weak, faith is needed.
Faith should be guided by, but must come before, reason in the case of a spiritual problem.
At times, there’s a problem that is not solved with thoughts, reasoning, counselors, books, internet resources, or talking to friends. It is time to apply faith rather than reason. The situation may have a spiritual aspect that must change.
Fasting means letting go and setting aside something we otherwise depend on to approach God.
If I’m "not content in my spirit,” do I approach God about it or default to human reasoning and blame? Arguing over a solution or being discontented together will not bring unity or amplify the voice of Christ. Disagreements between people may need prayer together, not human reasoning and discussion.
1 John 1:5,6,7,8,9,10 If both parties are walking in the Light, they can have Divine fellowship, which is better than just working together. I must allow that each one has the Light needed to walk in the Christian life, even if it's different than my understanding of the Light. False doctrine is different than differing opinions and understanding.
The spirit which guides reason and faith must be governed by the love of God.
